yannickvdb I had the same problem , high cpu (98-99%) all used by spoolsv.exe I removed the printer tasks and it seems fixed now. Under normal conditions, a print spooler acts as a queue for sending documents to the printer. rmann's workaround to stop service and manually delete files in spool folder fixed the issue.

  1. Turn off the Print Spooler in Services 2.
  2. Once this process has been stopped leave the windows open and open My Computer and browse the below folder.c:\windows\system32\spool\PRINTERSorc:\winnt\system32\spool\PRINTERS In this folder delete all the files in the PRINTERS folder.
